A lone male rose-breasted grosbeak this afternoon in Mendota Heights. Have
red-bellied and pileated nesting about 8 feet apart in separate trunks of the
same aspen clump...it is not going well for the red-bellied !

Saw a male Eastern Bluebird in Shoreview (Ramsey Co.) at Ahats Wildlife
Observation Area. About 1 mile north of Hwy 96 W and Lexington Ave N.

Came home to Lino Lakes (Anoka Co.) and there was a pair inspecting one of
our
    houses and singing beautifully.
