I believe my brother and I just observed a Mississippi Kite in Swift County on
CR29 at the point where 55th St NE turns and becomes 70th Ave NE. The bird
was Harrier shaped with long wings and tail. Back side was an even dark
coloration with no visible white on the upper surface. The bird was observed at
about 200 yards hawking insects as it flew. The bird was much more acrobatic
than a Harrier climbing , rolling and diving while hawking. Bird was somewhat
backlit and We did not get a good view of the underside. We will try to
relocate.
