      The Roseau River is currently low and, as such, provides a significant 
amount of shoreline that is drawn down to mudflats. The portion of the 
river that is located on Roseau River WMA is in Roseau County. Go to the 
MNDNR website and look up the RRWMA visitor map to determine how to 
access the river. The closest towns (to the south of RRWMA) are Badger 
and Greenbush. Navigating the river at this time with watercraft is 
probably limited to canoe/kayak; in places, foot travel may be the only 
option. Dawn and dusk are the best times to view wildlife on the river, but 
good opportunities may be had midday as well.
