Green <jgr...@d.umn.edu> via moumn.org) Molly Thompson sent me a photo of a turkey hen with 6 poults on Sept. 16, 2018 which she took on the Reservoir Road off the Pequaywan Lake Rd. in northwestern Normanna Twp (T52 R13). This site is in a heavily forested area, managed by St. Louis County forestry, which is just south of the Clover Valley State Forest. There was not any breeding evidence during the MnBB Atlas (2009-2013) that far into the forest north of Duluth. It will be interesting to track how far the turkey range expansion goes into the North Woods.
