On April 27th The 44th annual Salt Lake Birding Weekend will take place in the 
western Minnesota counties of Lac qui Parle, Yellow Medicine and Big Stone. 
This event is free and open to all who are interested, no pre-registration is 
needed. This is a great family event and appropriate for birders at all levels 
of experience. Meet on Saturday, April 27 at 7 AM at the Marietta American 
Legion to join guided car caravans for tours of the best birding areas.
We will be seeing the end of the waterfowl migration and the start of the 
shorebird migration. Every year interesting birds can show up such as Says’s 
Phoebe, White-faced Ibis, Prairie Falcon or Snowy Egret.
