Yesterday we had a pair of RS Hawks in the wooded area behind our home. Hopefully they will stick around to nest again, which would make the 14th consecutive year a pair has nested in the vicinity. I'm not sure what their average lifespan is, but I assume it's either been the same pair, or descendants of the original pair.
