Did you know Peregrine Falcons were extirpated in MN until a recovery
program in the 1970s? Another effort Carrol Henderson was a part of and will
share how bantie chickens played a role in the peregrine's incredible
journey of survival at the 22nd Annual Detroit Lakes Festival of Birds May
15-18. Joining Henderson as presenters are humorist Al Batt, and Lyanda
Haupt, who weaves a tale of bonding with her pet Starling just as the famous
composer and the basis for her book, Mozart's Starling. Morning field trips,
birding by pontoon, bus tour, wine social, exhibitors, book signing and
