Species that have never visited our suet feeder before have been doing that the last two weeks. This includes song sparrows, brown thrashers, catbirds, orioles and female red-winged blackbirds. Robins, juncos, white-throated sparrows and Lincoln’s sparrows haven’t actually clung to the suet chunk but they are eating particles on the ground dropped by those that have.
