Yesterday (8/2) I saw a Loggerhead Shrike feeding a fledgling. They were
perched on the chain link fence on the west side of the soccer fields on Akron
Ave. After a few minutes, they flew across the soccer field and into the brush
along the south edge of the field. Later, I saw them again on the utility wire
across the street and farther south. The fledgling's begging calls were very
loud and strident!
