Given the 2,000+ people who had installed my old Minnesota Birding News app, I felt badly that I had to take down the old app. It was too expensive for me to maintain, and all the costs were on my nickel. Many of you reached out to me privately with words of thanks and encouragement which I appreciated. Thus, I am pleased to announce I have found a new, much less expensive path forward.
Over the past few weeks I have created the new Minnesota Birding News Service which is now in beta test (formal rollout expected in November). You may access and install 38 sources at present ranging from the Minnesota Ornithologists Union's own Facebook site to Audubon Minnesota. The service provides automatic updates for all new posts from every source without the user having to take any action ... all in one spot.
