Inspired by reports of shorebirds on the move, I visited Lake Byllesby
(Dakota Cnty) this evening and found loads of them on the west end: Least,
Baird's, White-rump, Semi-palmated Plovers, a single Dunlin and plenty of
Lesser Yellowlegs and Pectoral Sandpipers. On the drive home, I stopped by
to see whats left of 140th St Marsh and found a Hudsonian Godwit in the
south pond. A nice evening to be out.
