A friend told me late this evening right before sunset that there was a GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE just southwest of Dassel. I was able to get there as it was getting dark. It was still there calling with its huge tail in this flooded pasture at dusk this evening. This is Meeker County’s first record of a Great-tailed Grackle.
