Yesterday I spent 4 hours at Westwood Hills Nature Center in St. Louis Park. Several areas were quite active, the SE corner just west of the new construction and the north end by the canoe dock. I found 12 species of warblers including Golden Winged, Magnolia (2),Wilson’s (2), Blackpoll, Ovenbird and 16 Common Yellowthroat. There were also a lot of thrushes including one Veery, one Wood Thrush, one Gray-cheecked and 7 Swainson’s. Also 3 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, Least Flycatcher, E. Wood-Pewee and a pair of Trumpeter Swans. In the afternoon at our house in Minnetonka, in the same tree, we had 2 male Scarlet Tanagers and one female. Later I added Blackpoll and Chestnut-sided Warblers. Ken Larson in Minnetonka
