I know water features are a big draw. We had one 5+ years ago. Did not replace because of cost. The decline in birds in my Eagan yard has been huge. Does anyone want to share a description of their water features? Especially ideas for do-it-yourself, less costly options? Photos would be great. I had no warblers this year. Did have a yellow-bellied sapsucker last week. Larry & Jan Uden

At 140th Street we found the Cattle Egret and the Dunlin both in full breeding plumage. Both were also reported by others on the south side of the road. As we left the egret flew to the other shore and was no longer visible. Soras were especially vocal. At 180th Street we had great views of Soras and Spottted Sandpipers. Ducks included several Redhead, a Ringed-neck, and about 20 Ruddies. New birds included Marsh Wren, Bank Swallow, a Northern Waterthrush, and Yellow Warblers.
