(Posted by Milton J. Blomberg <[email protected]> via moumn.org) For interest, Herb Dingman sighted a Red -throated Loon on Little Rock Lake (Rice, Mn) yesterday. It was sighted this morning as well. View to look for it from the small County Park in the west side 45.733514,-94.177103. It was diving frequently, but has loafing times. Look for a gray- brownish body, mostly in basic plumage, but showing evidence of molting into Alternate plumage, smaller proportionately to a COLO, and up-turned fine- lined bill.mjb
