Three Wood Duck boxes can easily be observed from my house. An Eastern Screech
Owl has been seen in each of them over the past couple of weeks. One box, home
to a nest of baby squirrels, was raided by the owl shortly after they were
born. The is in a box again this morning. I am beginning to wonder if the owl
has staked out the boxes as hunting sites and will deter the Wood Ducks from
nesting. In the past I have seen the owls use the boxes for brief periods, but
only in fall.

Thoughts?
