Erik Collins, Aaron Pietsch, and I found a second-cycle Iceland Gull
(Kumlien’s subspecies) among the couple thousand gulls (mostly Ring-billed)
on Pig’s-Eye Lake in St. Paul around 3:40 PM this afternoon. Best viewing
is accessed from the north end of Red Rock Rd. at the southeast corner of
the lake. Scope required.
