This is a free event where visitors can interact with scientists dissecting and preparing natural history specimens. Whether you like birds a little or a lot, we will have a huge variety species* to see - local stars like loons, owls, and warblers; rare visitors like Snowy Owls, Ross’s Gull, and crossbills; and exotics from far off places like seabirds, and ptarmigans. This is a rare chance to see these birds up close, inside and out, and learn more about the Bell Museum’s collections.
🔔 Bell Expeditions During July 12–16, we invite you to join us on the Bell Museum’s Learning Landscape for Bell Expeditions. Stop by to observe and ask questions about the process of measuring, cataloging, and preparing natural history specimens for the Bell Museum natural history collections, an active research institution utilized by scientists around the world! ---- General information and guidelines for posting: https://moumn.org/listservice.html Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html During the pandemic, the MOU encourages you to stay safe, practice social distancing, and continue to bird responsibly.
