The Phainopepla was still there this morning as of 10:50. It was partly eating buckthorn berries, fairly hidden, at the base of the large dead spruce, partly roosting in the sun in one of the lowest spruce branches, and partly flycatching in that spruce and two deciduous trees in the parking area of the old, abandoned motel.
