While birders were trying to relocate a probable Pacific Loon spotted yesterday evening by Matthew Zappa on Lake Bde Maka Ska (in Minneapolis), David House, Jason Hedlund, and others photographed what is likely a YELLOW-BILLED LOON. Folks have noted the very thick bill, the upturned shape of the bill, and the pale yellowish color of the bill. To my knowledge birders have seen within the past 15 minutes. Good birding!
