Having been on the summer bird-banding team at Sugarloaf Cove, and experienced a Cook County (record, I believe) female Painted Bunting, I can appreciate the excitement....and be grateful for those who "keep the faith" , birding, banding, documenting, researching, protecting habitat, etc .
