Hello, I will be leading a sparrow walk to Fish Lake Nature Trails in East Bethel (Anoka County). We are likely to encounter typical migrating sparrows (White-throated, White-crowned, Lincoln's, Song, Harris's, Fox, Savannah, Swamp), but will also be targeting lower density migrants such as LeConte's and Nelson's Sparrows in their appropriate habitats. Later warbler migrants are also expected, the likes of Palm, Yellow-rumped, and Orange-crowned are likely to make an appearance. This location is a well-known site for nesting Red-headed Woodpeckers, some are likely to still be present this time of year.
We will meet at the gravel parking lot on Durant St NE at 8AM, here is a GPS pin for clarification if needed: 45.396372, -93.158498 This event is limited to 10 participants, and registration via Signup Genius is required. There are currently 8/10 slots available at the time of sending this message.
