As a fyi, I have built five BirdNET-Pi birdsong listening stations and deployed
them across NE Minnesota, soon to also include one at the Sax Zim Bog Welcome
Center. Anyone may access, listen and customize the desired timeframe of
captured / ID'd sound files via BirdWeather.com (no fee). This assumes the
owner of the station in question decides to make their box public.

I have a blog post which explains how to access BirdWeather (annotated
screenshots), including the stations now online in NE Minnesota. Please
understand that BirdWeather has stations from throughout the world. I used it
recently on a trip to Ireland to learn what birds might be found in a given
area of the Emerald Isle. Here is the link to my post on using the birdsong
stations found BirdWeather:

Finally, for those of you who live in NE Minnesota, several folks have asked if
I would teach a class which would take a person through the steps of building a
BirdNET-Pi. There would be no charge for the class, however the parts for a
BirdNET-Pi cost about $130 (no subscription fee ... uses Cornell's BirdNET
database for making ID's). If interested, contact me. Here is more information
about the process of building your own BirdNet-Pi:
