1) This is a small aggregate mining operation. They are looking at expanding their pit from about 50 acres to about 80 acres (a 32 acre expansion). 2) There will be a public meeting on Monday, Nov. 24 (next Monday) to decide if they need a EAW (Environmental Assessment Worksheet). From what I am hearing this hearing is expected to decide that there are no environmental issues that would necessitate an EAW.
