I have them at my feeders in West St Paul most winters, though last year was an exception. I've been seeing two the past few weeks.
A few summers ago I looked out to see a pair of hatchlings drinking from our fountain, which almost certainly indicates nesting in the vicinity. Haven’t seen them here for a decade and now there’s a feisty pair visiting daily. We saw several at the Arboretum in the pines section off 3 Mile Drive in early October.
