I received a call from George Lahr, that his friend Brad Abendroff observed a
Brown Pelican last evening at Myre-Big Island State Park.
They have been unsuccessful in posting the bird themselves, so I am posting the
sighting for them.
The bird was refound again this morning by George.
The bird is being seen in a small bay near the island campground. From the
campground, take the trail that heads South to the lake and watch for the bird
on your left.
Note that I have not seen the bird myself, so am passing on the directions,
from what I could gather from our phone calls.
