The immature IVORY GULL at Canal Park in Duluth was still present on the 21st. Two immature BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKES were found at Canal Park on the 16th by Steve Kolbe. At least one was seen as recently as the 19th. Small numbers of ICELAND GULLS, THAYER'S GULLS, GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL, and GLAUCOUS GULLS are also being seen, and John Richardson saw an adult GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL on the 21st near Beacon Point at 22nd Avenue East in Duluth. The GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW at 44th Avenue East and Regent Street in the Lakeside neighborhood of Duluth was reported as recently as the 20th. Birders are welcome to look for the bird but the homeowner asks observers to stay on the sidewalk and not venture into his yard. Nine LONG-TAILED DUCKS were seen on the 20th at Agate Bay in Two Harbors. David Brislance saw 300-400 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS on the 20th in Grand Marais. The dark gray/intermediate morph juvenile GYRFALCON near the Peavey elevator and Connor's Point off US Highway 53 in Superior was reported as recently as the 19th.
