Subject: [mou-net] Black Rail
To: <[email protected]>

A Black Rail was seen and heard yesterday and today by four observers from
the elevated boardwalk at Rice Creek slough, just east of Rice Lake in Lino
Lakes, Anoka County. In yesterday’s encounter, the bird was calling
incessantly and loudly about 200 feet north of the southern end of the
boardwalk. This is just north of the last large tree on the east side of
the marsh. Today it called briefly from much farther to the east but still
about the same distance north.
