coeur, si quelqu'un a le temps de le faire et de me l'envoyer par
e-mail, je me chargerai de la poster. Soyez enthousiaste, mais aussi
critique, c'est une news, pas une pub pour Mozilla.

We worked closely with press and our partners on the exact launch
time and it would be very damaging if the news got out before that
time, but I wanted to share the news with you first. Our press release

Today in Madrid, Mozilla stood alongside Telefónica and ZTE in the
Telefonica flagship store to announce the launch of the world’s first
Firefox OS devices.

In just two years, Firefox OS has gone from concept to commercial
launch. Today marks a significant milestone for the Web, and the
beginning of a new chapter for Mozilla, one that we should all pause
to celebrate.
There will be more launches over the coming weeks and months and we
will continue to communicate launches, successes and updates regarding
our partners, developers and feedback from customers.
This is a version 1 release of our offerings, though, and while it
will be exciting, we will also hit some bumps. Though the initial
products are competitive with others in their price range, the Firefox
Marketplace will be light on content compared to the big guys, the
experience doesn’t have all of the polish we would like, and the
hardware is entry level. Silicon Valley and others who are daily users
of the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy devices will probably not be
generous in their reviews, though the target market is quite different
from what they're used to. We will have to smooth the bumps and handle
the highs and lows as a team.
I know everyone’s been working very, very hard to make this happen
and I want to thank you for the dedication and time that went into
this project. Many of our offices will mark the day with lunch or a
toast, and we will celebrate the accomplishment over the coming weeks
and at the Mozilla Summit.
