programme.

Bonne journée

Dear Mozillians,

This month, we'll be launching Version 1 of new community program
called Mozilla
Guides <https://wiki.mozilla.org/Contribute/Pathways/Guides/Guides-SOP>.

Guides is a mentoring program to help brand new and potential contributors
orient themselves, choose a pathway, and gain confidence in their early
days of contribution to Mozilla. Guides themselves will play a critical
role in helping new contributors overcome both common and personal
obstacles, through mentorship.

If you are knowledgeable in one or more Mozilla contribution areas, enjoy
helping people and have a small amount of time to check in on the Guides
Discourse instance <http://guides.mozilla-community.org/> - we would love
to talk to you. This is only the first version of Guides, so you’ll also
have the opportunity to help shape and define where the program goes.

All those selected first round will need to attend a one hour training
session on October 7th. This training session will providing you with the
tools and support you’ll need to be successful, as well as provide you with
an opportunity to ask questions.

For quick reference, there is is a list of the functional areas in need
of Guides below.
