hi sebastien, my previous response was when i woke up, in other words not fully compis mentis.
the mozart-oz.wikidot.com site has a 'getting started' section, which targets people who want to just try out the language. ie hold their hand from download to executing an interesting code snippet that many other languages cannot easily perform. whet the tastebuds so to say. next link along is the 'guide' link. written by our oz gurus in a lighthearted fashion that guides interested developers on a path of discovery, teaching them how to think in oz, by developing a non trivial piece of software that touches many aspects of the oz language. yes the guide seems to be a zeromq 'thing' but it works in giving people a mainline education to the toolkit, we can learn from them. zeromq are doing a number of things correctly, open source development and reaching out into the community are among them. so while we develop the vm, they can easily collaborate on the guide. next along is the 'documentation' link. this link will hopefully be a complete documentation of the oz language. similar to the third link torsten put up under this section, (thanks for that torsten, that was a good find!) except itll be local to the wiki and easily changeable. ill try to do this one. yikes. on the right there is a vm hacking section where we display coding guidelines, collaboration tips and provide a link to vm documentation on github. in my opinion it would be better to have all the documentation (ie vm documentation) in one place. simply because it is convenient and also we have gigs of space made available. github has limited space. wikidot is a solid wiki with many useful features. but the change is easily done and currently not an issue. kind regards stewart
