Personally i think that with fink and macports you can convert your system in a mess of libraries. Tcl/Tk is an example of that, you can have coexistent installations of it and at the end, not know which is the one used. At this moment mozart runs on mac os x without needing neither fink or macports an that hopefully simplify bug reporting.
