I apologize for being so dense, but I'm not sure what you mean by the compiler panel. I have a compiler buffer in my Emacs window. (It shows me compiler messages.) But I don't see the menu choice you mention. The menus are: Buffers Files Tools Edit Search Mule Compile Help. None of them has an Environment entry. (The Mule menu has an entry for natural language, but that's not it.) It must be obvious, but I don't see it.
