I'm *very* relieved to hear that :) ! I'd spent quite some time carving my
original code down to the posted snippet, and only, very reluctantly, posted
this off.

I *thought* I had the latest version, but obviously I'd downloaded an
earlier version instead. Indeed, I'm downloading the latest version [1.3.1]
as I write.

Thank you for clarifying, Kevin; I'm glad I'm 'in the right place' :) ! I
had doubts about this because, based on a persusal of the mailing list
archives, and on the content of the messages I've been receiving since I
joined this mailing list, not to mention the fact my previous query [on the
availablity of Regex examples] went unanswered, it seemed to be more an
advocacy-type of forum rather than a user problem-oriented one.
