                  CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

The third edition of the School on Biology, Computation and
Information (BCI) aims at bringing together teachers and
students from Biology, Mathematics and Computer Science.
Main goal of the school is to give an updated overview of
interdisciplinary techniques and problems to be studied on
the boundaries among the three fields.


COURSES - Main topic: Protein Folding

Area Biology.
Title: An Overview of Protein Structure and of the
      Experimental Techniques Used to Determine Them
Lecturer: Prof. Hugo Luis Monaco,
         Universita'  di Verona, Italy

Area Bioinformatics.
Title: Simplified Protein Models and Constraint Programming
      Approaches to the Protein Folding Problem
Lecturer: Dr. Sebastian Will,
         Freiburg University, Germany

Area Mathematics.
Title:    Algorithmic and Complexity issues in Structure
         Prediciton and/or Determination
Lecturer: Prof. Romeo Rizzi,
         Universita'  di Udine, Italy


REGISTRATION

Early registration deadline: July 15, 2006.
Late registration deadline: August 16, 2006.

We can provide accommodation for 40 participants,
assigned on a first-come first-served basis.

Acceptance of more participants will be evaluated by the
organizers. For accompanying persons, please, contact the
organizing commettee.

Early registration fee: EUR 400.
Late registration fee: EUR 450.

The registration fee covers participation at all lectures,
course materials and full board accommodation from September
10th (dinner included) to September 15th (lunch included).


LOCATION

The school will be held at the congress center Centro
Culturale Grandhotel Dobbiaco, via Dolomiti 31, I-39040 Dobbiaco.
The congress center is close to the railway station.
