Just for the record, I was finally able to get everything by deleting the
whole mozilla directory and then by using the commands:

cvs checkout mozilla/client.mk

and then

cd mozilla

make -f client.mk checkout BUILD_MODULES=psm

I'm sure I've done this before...but this time it worked.
