Bob, what mpt is asking for and what I, myself would prefer is if you 
can reduce the amount of UI and prefs in favor for more predefined 
prefs/defaults.

As mpt pointed out, Security can be a tough area to set up - the user 
has to have a minimum amount of prefs to edit.

  Why can't you have all those crypto/security protocols/standards on by 
default? Is it because some of those might be buggy on certain sites?

Let's save the user some trouble and make hard decisions for it.
