NSS has been built with BSAFE 4.1 and 5.0, IIRC. But that has not been
tried since the expiration of the RSA patent, that I know of.

I don't know what the differences between BSAFE 3.0 and 4.1 are. What
functionality appears to be missing? Is it possible for you to upgrade
to 4.1?
