nss_Init() never returns

Hi!

I'm working on an embedding project where we need HTTPS/SSL support.
When I try to connect to a secure web site with our customized
Mozilla 1.0.2 the browser appears to freeze. I have been able to
track down the problem to the function NSS_InitReadWrite() which is supposed to load/initialize the various *.db files in the user profile.
In this case the database files are never created and the function
never returns.
Any ideas?
