No that would be painful as well, but on the other hand if you removed the option to add webserver certificates from the pop-up you get and forced the user to open the file themselves (like a CA file) they couldn't accidentally accept the certificate as easily then... No need to punish us all because not everyone understands the implications, on the other hand if we know better then this shouldn't make things any harder in practice...
