The first two paragraphs on that page say, in part:
"TinyCDB is a very fast and simple package for creating and reading *constant* data bases," [emphasis added]
"CDB is a /constant/ database, that is, it cannot be updated at a runtime, only rebuilt."
Maybe this isn't as bad as it sounds...
Yes - I think the idea is that you have to run a rebuild() function whenever it changes, which ideally doesn't take a massively long time for a sensibly-sized database. Given that adding new certs is not an everyday occurrence for Joe User, it may not be as bad as it sounds.
But that's the limit of my understanding.
