youre right, i dont noticed to install both, the intranet CA and the root CA also on mozilla. i thought, i just need the intranet ca for my intranet signing ca...
after (re-)installing the root ca and intranet ca no exception was thrown, thanks to you nelson, great list!

My first guess would be that firefox and mozilla are using separate "profile" directories with separate copies of the cert8.db file. I suspect you installed your root CA cert in firefox, but not in mozilla. If your root CA cert doesn't appear in mozilla's cert manager, that's most likely the problem.
