| You can't mix PGP keys and X.509 Digital Certificates in this context.
| Your browser is expecting a digital cert. You can pick up a free client
| cert from several places, such as Thawte (http://www.thawte.com) or
| CAcert (http://www.cacert.org). Both of these vendors use PGP's
| web-of-trust concept to validate your identity and get your name
| embedded inside the cert.

Thanks... this info puts me on the right track. Just seems funny that
one can't use pgp certs this way as it would give a certain amount of
non-repudiation to the browser connection to said bank. In other words,
it is actually me using my browser to connect to my bank in one concise
key rather than multiple keys for different applicaitons. Anyway thanks
for help... now to get my cert signed to be 'official' with that!
