Pharming consists in the name resolution system modification, so that when a user thinks he or she is accessing to bank's web page, he or she is actually accessing the IP of a spoofed site.

As far as I can tell there is 2 entry points here... (points out the obvious) firstly trojans that alter the host file on a persons computer, and direct attack on name servers or caching name servers.

At least with the latter I've heard of at least one company being paid hansomly to make sure major caching name servers for major companies aren't being tampered with, but with the number of cracked servers out there obviously this is still of some concern.

In the former instance it's no more of a risk then any other trojan that infects a PC to snoop for CC details etc.
