Greetings! Does anybody knows, if there is some universal rules to generate new object's distinguished name? I mean, if I want to create new object (which objectclass is known to me) in the directory I can retrieve it's schema by it's objectclass. Then I can create attributes set with attributes names according to retrieved schema and fill them with values. But after that all I have to assign distinguished name to this object. Ok, it's quite simple, when we create predefined object (i.e. we use uid as first part of DN for inetOrgPerson, o for organization, ou for organizationalunit and so on). But what attribute to use as this first part of DN for objects, which schema can be unknown, and contains absolutely unknown attribute names? Ahy help will be appreciated. -- With best regards ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alexey N. Zhukov [EMAIL PROTECTED] Software Engineer Trustworks Systems B.V.
