I have installed Netscape Directory Server 4.12 Japanese version for NT
on a
Windows 2000 machine. I have created entries of type groupofuniquenames
in the directory to represent the cn in Japanese. These get entered in
the
directory fine. However, subsequent retrieval of this value through the
LDAP C SDK using ldap_search and ldap_first_entry and ldap_get_dn
returns to
me, as the dn, garbage. Actually what gets returned is a Japanese
(looking)
string totally unrelated to the original one. I have tried looking
through the product website for documentation on internationalization.
The only
useful lead that I found there was to set the language sub-attribute.
However, all the language options given to me are in Japanese. Since I
don't understand Japanese and am working on an LDAP related bug reported
by
our internationalization team, I would greatly appreciate any help that
I
get in this regard.
