linking error in ldap client(c++)

i am using w2k platform and writing a ldap client in c++ using Microsoft
VC++ and i am getting linking error:
Linking...
nsldap32v41bc.lib : fatal error LNK1136: invalid or corrupt file
Error executing link.exe.
nsldap32v41bc.dll file was never there in the sdk package i downloaded from
iplanet's site.
any help is appreciated.
