Rich, thanks for the email and the help with this issue. For the benefit
of anyone else reading this thread, Console would bind with a dn other
than "cn=Directory Manager" to access Administration Server configuration
directives. The solution is to either use a separate directory server
for configuration and leave its size limit as the default, or migrate
to iDS 5.0, which allows the size limit to be set by bind DN rather than
globally.
