Help with LDAP and Exchange

I was trying to get the Global Address List out of the Exchange Server
using LDAP.
I enter in the Exchange server name and a user name and set it without
security. currently the best that I can get is Failed to search
"Exchange" due to LDAP error "Protocol error" (0x02)
Any suggestions on how this can be done.
