Hello,

I am in the process of cleaning a very large LDAP database of unwanted
users, but have discovered that removing entries from LDAP does nothing
to reduce the size of the ldbm files utilized. I am guessing this is a
'feature' of btree databases like sleepycat's, but I would imagine that
someone has figured out a way to compact such a database after unwanted
entries have been removed.

Has anyone had any experience with this, or have any pointers on where to
look?

Thanks in advance,
